Quilt Market

My friend Joy and I went to Quilt Market this year for her business and it was just especially fun this year.

We decided Sizzix was our favorite booth.  We have always been a fan of the product because it works on fabric, paper and metal.  How can you not like something that if there was a zombie apocalypse you can still use with out electricity.  The ladies there are exceptional, it was like going to my girlfriends house.  Thank you Linda Nitzen and Cheryl Adam for  good conversation and finding my sweater.  (They know what I'm talking about.) You all are the best.

Kerry Goulder was at Sizzix launching her new book "Sewing Tales to Stitch and Love".  The book is packed with whimsical toys.

Was particularly taken with the trailer and car for some reason.  I do have this dream to get a Airstream and have it pimped out to be a traveling sewing room in lime green.  Hmmm….  Just makes me smile thinking about it.  That's what Kerry's book does, make you smile.

Had to stop by Sue Spargo's booth.  We love her color and style.  If you don't know about her check her link on Artist I like to follow.

Had to take a photo of Green Bee's booth because it reminded me when I was in Fashion Design school.

Quilting Arts Article

Okay, this is my first blog post and it has to be about this!

FiberVoices, a fiber group in which I have participated, has been featured in an article by Lynn Krawczyk in the current (October/November 2013) issue of Quilting Arts Magazine.  Even more surprising was the pleasure of seeing I was mentioned as a guest artist for this 6-panel piece called "Speaking in Color".  It was a really fun collaborative piece.   (My Piece is the second row - middle.)
